A few words from the Chairman

Shinichiro Kakizawa, Chairman of the iBI AllianceThank you very much for visiting the iBI Alliance website. I would like to convey my most cordial greetings as the chairman of this alliance consisting of 11 companies.
"iBI" stands for (IBM) 'i' Business Initiative, and our aim is to further stimulate the IBM Power Systems/IBM 'i' (IBM AS/400) businesses in cooperation with IBM and its Business Partners.

Among all the business servers came up in the market to support mission-critical systems, IBM 'i' shall be the most reliable and robust platform, which we confidently recommend to our valued customers. We engage ourselves to promote our customers to actively leverage the benefits from the systems to enjoy positive benefits on their business, to support them to continuously utilize their platform as the corporate backbone, and/or to help new customers to newly introduce IBM 'i.'

Our aim is to help and support our customers in improving their business, providing many more superior solutions, tools, and middlewares on the IBM 'i.'

Thank you for your interests in our iBI Alliance. We hope for the opportunity to serve you soon.

The root of the iBI Alliance is a conference named "Chikurinkai," where people gathered to discuss various topics regarding the System i (AS/400) market. They had discussed many issues on IBM 'i' for improvements over 2 years and came to found this alliance.

All the eight member companies are long-time vendors of System i.

Each of them has gained ground in the middleware, infrastructure, mission-critical systems, business systems and/or others, and has been making contribution to the industry growth. They all have realized critical state of the current IBM 'i' market, and allied as like-minded colleagues.
